Blended pricing
A single rate per transaction that bundles interchange, scheme fees and the processor's margin.
Under blended pricing, a merchant pays one rate, such as a percentage plus a fixed fee, regardless of the card type or where it was issued. The processor absorbs the variation in underlying costs.
It is simple to forecast but can be more expensive for merchants whose mix leans towards low-cost domestic debit cards. Larger merchants often move to Interchange++ for visibility into each component.
