KYB (Know Your Business)
The checks used to verify a business and the people who own and control it.
KYB confirms that a business is registered, identifies its beneficial owners and directors, and screens them against sanctions and other lists. It is a regulatory requirement for many payment and financial services.
Platforms that onboard sellers or sub-merchants run KYB at signup and monitor for changes afterwards.
