Glossary

DAP (Delivered at Place)

An Incoterm under which the seller delivers goods and the buyer pays import duties and taxes.

Under DAP, the seller covers transport to the named destination. Import clearance, duties and taxes are the buyer's responsibility and are usually collected by the carrier on delivery.

For ecommerce shoppers, DAP often means an unexpected charge at the door, which is a common cause of refused parcels and returns.
