Acceptable use policy

Last updated 2026年10月1日

This is placeholder text for a product prototype. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed by qualified counsel before any real use. International Orders is fictional and does not provide payment services.

Purpose

This policy sets out what you may not do when using the International Orders website and, in the prototype's fictional scenario, its services. It sits alongside the terms of service.

A real payment provider's acceptable use policy is shaped by law, card network rules and the requirements of its banking partners. This page illustrates the usual structure and is not a complete list.

Using the website and sandbox

You must not:

  • Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the site or sandbox without written permission.
  • Overload the site or API with automated requests beyond documented rate limits.
  • Use the sandbox to test card numbers, credentials or data that you do not own or are not authorised to use.
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, access controls or rate limits.
  • Upload malicious code or content.

If you believe you have found a security issue, contact security@international-orders.com (placeholder) rather than testing further.

Prohibited activities

In a live service, you could not use the platform to accept payments for, or in connection with:

  • Anything illegal in your location, the shopper's location or the location of any party to the transaction.
  • Goods or services that infringe intellectual property rights.
  • Sanctioned persons, entities or territories.
  • Money laundering, terrorist financing or the evasion of sanctions or tax.
  • Fraud, deceptive practices or misleading claims about goods or services.
  • Content that exploits children or promotes violence or hatred.
  • Pyramid schemes and similar arrangements.
  • Transactions that disguise their true nature, including processing on behalf of another business without approval.

Restricted activities

Some businesses could be accepted only after additional review, conditions or licences. Typical examples include:

  • Travel, events and other services delivered well after payment.
  • Subscriptions and recurring billing with free trials.
  • Age-restricted goods.
  • Regulated financial services.
  • Marketplaces and platforms that pay out to third parties.
  • High-value goods with elevated fraud risk.

For these, a provider would usually ask for information about your business model, refund policy, licences and fraud controls before enabling live payments.

Trade compliance

If you use landed cost or trade compliance features, you remain responsible for the accuracy of product classifications, country of origin and declared values, and for complying with export controls and import restrictions. Calculations are estimates based on the data you provide.

Monitoring and enforcement

In a live service, transactions and account activity would be monitored for compliance with this policy. Breaches could lead to requests for information, holding of funds, suspension or termination, and reporting to authorities where required by law.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
