Summary
This site stores a small amount of information in your browser to remember your choices. By default, only necessary storage is used. Analytics and marketing categories are off unless you turn them on, and no third-party scripts are loaded in this prototype in either case.
What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, do the same job in a different way. In this policy, "cookies" covers both.
Categories we use
Necessary
Always on. These are needed for the site to work as you expect, and they cannot be switched off from the cookie settings. They store:

The site also keeps a few interface preferences in local storage, such as a dismissed announcement banner and a language suggestion you have closed. Consent, theme and these preferences stay in your browser and are never sent to the server. The locale cookie is sent with page requests so the right language can be served. None of these values identify you, and none are used for tracking.
Analytics
Off by default. In a full deployment, this category would allow anonymous measurement of how pages are used, such as which pages are visited and how long they take to load.
In this prototype, no analytics scripts are loaded, even if you turn this category on. Turning it on only records your choice.
Marketing
Off by default. In a full deployment, this category would allow content and adverts to be measured or personalised across sites.

Third parties
No third-party cookies or scripts are set by this prototype. The hosting provider may process standard request data, such as IP address, to deliver pages securely. That processing does not use cookies in your browser.
Changing your choices
You can change your choices at any time using the cookie settings link in the site footer. You can also clear all stored preferences by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings. If you do, the site will ask for your consent choice again and fall back to its default language and theme.
Blocking cookies
You can set your browser to block cookies. If you block necessary storage, the site will still work, but it will not remember your consent choice, language or theme between visits.
Changes to this policy
If the site's behaviour changes, for example if analytics are added in a real deployment, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect, and the date at the top of the page will change.
